Cheap phone plans: how to pay less every month
14 of the 57 live U.S. plans we track cost under $25 per line a month. The lowest is Tello 2GB at $8 with 2 GB of high-speed data.
Every price below comes from an operator feed we import, with the date it was last verified. Links marked “See this deal” are affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you, and it never changes our ranking.
What a cheap phone plan actually costs today
We track 57 live monthly plans from 23 U.S. carriers and MVNOs and re-check the prices daily. Right now 14 of them are under $25 per line a month, and 4 are under $15.
The lowest verified price on the site is Tello 2GB at $8 a month with 2 GB of high-speed data.

Four ways to cut your monthly bill
Pay for the data you use, not the data you might use. Most people on an unlimited plan never come close to the cap, and a capped plan on the same network costs far less.
Check the network before the price. The plans here run across 4 different host networks, so the same money buys very different coverage depending on where you live.
Count the joining cost. A low monthly rate with a high activation fee is not cheap in month one — every plan page here shows the activation fee and the first-month total separately.
Re-check every few months. Promotional rates expire and new ones appear; the price on each plan page carries the date we last verified it.
Cheap does not have to mean a worse network
Most low-cost carriers are MVNOs: they resell capacity on the same networks the big operators run. We list the host network for every plan and show state-level coverage from published FCC data on each plan page, so you can judge coverage before price.
57 of the plans we track state no fixed contract term, so switching again later usually costs nothing.
How these prices are checked
Every price is imported from a carrier, MVNO or affiliate feed in U.S. dollars and re-verified daily. We rank by price and plan attributes, never by commission. Some outbound links are affiliate links and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Prices change daily. Read the latest round-up or compare every live plan.
