Prepaid plans are paid up front, need no credit check, and are usually cheaper for the same data.
Postpaid plans bill in arrears, may require a credit check, and bundle perks like device financing and streaming subscriptions.
Data priority
During congestion, postpaid customers on premium plans are typically served before prepaid and MVNO customers on the same towers.
In most places and most hours this is not noticeable; at a stadium or a festival it is.
